Jay is the developer behind Coord, continuing a long-term obsession with algorithmic music analysis and composition.
He has created music software for decades, beginning at Columbia University earning an M.A. in Music Composition. His B.A.s are in Mathematics, and in Music Theory and Composition, and he has two U.S. Patents (third pending) for generative music software.
He spent eight years as software architect at NYC-based music production company tomandandy, building proprietary AI music systems for commercial music composition. Subsequent projects span emergent and rule-based systems for algorithmic music composition, mobile entertainment, and music information retrieval. He recently built adaptive music software as part of Weav Music.
He has also designed and implemented object-oriented software within the financial sector for clients in New York, London, and Zurich.
He resides in Brooklyn with his wife Katrina and daughter Elena.
